I've got a bit of a problem with our home phone, We had another company contact BT back in oct saying we wanted to change provider. (we didnt)

Anyway we thought it was all sorted and there were no problems. However we got home tonight and our phone is not working, we rang BT and they said the phone was not with them and has not been since oct.

We have had no other bills from another company and now we have no idea who the phone is with.
is there anyway we can find out who its with??

Have you, or anyone at that address had ANY dealings with carphone warehouse? If so then i bet its been stolen by talk-talk.

When my gf bought a mobile from them a few years back they got her to sign twice, once for the contract and once to "ok" a takeover provision for their crummy talk-talk phone thingie ( without telling her and without giving her time to actually read the minutely worded contract). Took me ages to sort it out in the end, and only by going in person to the store and accusing the manager of fraud ( with a shop full of people on a busy saturday ) did it get sorted.

She was told the things she was signing were for the MOBILE contract only, no mention was ever made of the home phone line... apart from giving her contact details. She knew i had work paid for internet so she knew under no circumstances should our home line be changed in any way.

They used to get a commission on each person they duped in this way.

Im surpised you have had no bills sent to the address?
