It's snowing

Wife and I have both abandoned our cars in town and walked home. We live in West Wales and although the snow never really gets very bad (or rather, very deep) here, with no grit on the roads its just impossible to get the cars up the hills round here.

I was mildly concerned because the schools closed early so had to go rescue the nipper! I watched a van fail to get up the hill I was about to go up and could see the van was going to slide back down so just parked in a layby and walked to the school. The children were all still in class at about 3pm just waiting for parents.

Mother left work at 2.30pm and lives about 7 miles away - shes still in traffic :(

Had massive amounts of snow in Sheffield, pretty much non-stop all day. Must be about 4-5 inches in some places. Does look very nice tho. :)

I slid a lot today and very almost fell over, if it wasn't for my ninja panic balance skills I would have a very sore bottom :o.

None yet, but we are finally forecast some in Dorset! we're even highlighted in red on the met office weather warning. If i can't make a snowman and have a snowball fight tomorrow i won't be impressed! :p

About 6 inches deep here in Stockport (south Manchester) now and snowing heavily.

Here is our cat having a little... swim? haha.

Just got sent home early from work on account of the impending threat from our new snowy overlords, I for one welcome our snowy overlords.

Seriously though, I wonder how many millions of pounds and hours of productivity that bulletin from the MET office has cost industry? Not that I'm complaining too much mind... :)

Started my truck in Winsford Cheshire at 4am for a 500mile job. 8hrs later and 28miles on the clock im back home.

Quick pic looking out over Dunfermline, Rosyth toward the Forth Bridge's:

We're expecting quite a bit more over the next 24/48 hours :D

I've just offered to go in on overtime tonight... feel like i've been 'Drafted' excuse the pun lol :)

Hey neighbours :D. Snow stopped some time ago here, but was going pretty nicely from 12-2 ish.

Wow! More!? Yeah it looked good then, but looks to have stopped for some time now but is still forecast all night and getting heavier! Just east in Wiltshire and Swindon is now Red on metoffice!

Where about do you live on Stoke Park then?

I actually live on Gloucester Road, but I work at Broadcom on the Bristol Business Park over the road.

I am however thinking about renting in stoke park from next year
