ATi Catalyst 10.1's This Thursday

Another forum member sorted my problem out seems I'd changed a setting somewhere. Loading defaults again fixed it and alls well again. :)

My settings should be locked if i have had a few beers, usually ends with some sort of computing mishap :)

the thing is though mate, what ever you set in CCC should have let windows load, you must have hit a bug in CCC which is down to the drivers at the end of the day

Is it only some people that are having issues with ATi's drivers, or is everyone having problems?

I'm going to be buying a new graphics card in the next few months, but I've been seeing quite a lot of people having problems with these new ATi cards, so that's kinda putting me off buying one tbh.

No stability problems here with catalyst drivers currently using the 9.12 hotfix which seem very, very stable. Still got the flash bang issue with MW2 but I can live with it for the performance I get using 2 Asus 5770's in Xfire.

Great cards and drivers and I've used Nvidia cards for a number of years ;)

I hope they've finally sorted out the BBCHD problem.

Apart from that I have no gripes. They install without reboot and are stable. Coming from 3 years of NV I'd say they've less bugs so far.

No problems here with my 5870 at all, since launch:eek:

Personally ive only ever had problems with ati drivers using 64bit o/s they "DO" regardless of what peaople say seem to be hit or miss, 32bit no issues at all, ive had similar probles with 4850 512mb, 4850 cf 512mb, 4850 1gb, 4870 512mb, 4870 1gb (i skipped 4890 lol) and finally with 5850 everytime i was on 64bit, ATI may make the better card for now and they certainly do spec wise but the simple fact is that nvidia just seem to work hence why i just bought a new 285gtx today for £149 :) that will keep me going for a while

to quote myself the person i sold my 5850 to said he has had problems too, but he said after much reading up its a bios issue and conflict with LG monitors.......
