AAAhhh finaly I've got my first set to watch my blu-rays on. Snapped up the Panasonic TX46G10B for £750, saw the deal earlier this year and was gutted I didn't get it.

So now I'm trying to shift my Philips 28" CRT, may end up giving it away or try cash converters.

Has anyone else got the set, and give any good opinions on it?

Cool, I was thinking about the 42G10 but when I saw the deal for the 46G10 and free home delivery I couldn't Ignore it. Hopefully now it turns up on time and in one piece, its arriving anytime on the 31st december, so hopefully they'll be early!

Now I need to find a cool stand for the set...

Great, my order was cancelled on the day when I was waiting for delivery. I'm gutted, now most of the deals have gone and this high street store totally stringed me along and stiffed me. Definatly never doing buisness with them again. :(
They said in their email to me that their out of stock yet the deal is still present on their site??

Such a shame, parents got lucky on qvc and got their g15 for £768.

Persevere it's a top screen.

If you do get it turn all the extras like noise reduction off they actually hamper the pq.

That's shocking- I've gone for what I imagine is the same deal, ordered a couple of days ago, the money's been taken and a delivery date set. Did they take your money?

They haven't yet but I'll check my statements again. The strange thing is the deal is STILL on the site AND when I type my poste code in to check for availibiltiy, it still allows me to buy!? Surely if they were out of stock then the deal would have been taken down?

This is probably the strangest situation I've found myself in, you think this shop has a reliable well known high street name, yet your treated like dirt. If they really don't want my money they won't have it.

Such a good deal though :(

Why don't you give customer services a ring, I'm sure they'll help you out. :)

Yes, check your statements, if they took the money and then cancelled on you I would really push for an alternative product... For example the TX50G10 :P

Regardless as soon as they took the money the contract is as good as signed/sealed and legally binding. To be honest it was probably binding the moment they accepted the order. Call the store and drop hints regarding trading standards unless they deliever you a panasonic TV with the same or better specifications.

My brother was actually in a hifi store once (popular budget highstreet hifi chain), he listened to a CD player and liked it, payed, and then the store guy found it was acutally out of stock, just the demo model (which my brother rejected). But as he had already paid the store offered him the next model up... and that was out of stock too!!!. Ended up going up a CD player too models higher up without having to pay anything more than he had already handed over.

Well they never actually took any money fro my account, but i got receipt of my order and I did select which day for the product to be delivered, and it was only by at 5pm on this date (when it was supposed to be arriving) that they cancelled. Yet once again, I check today and the offer is STILL available.

Basically the email they sent me said that they were sorry that they are now actually out of stock, and would like me to phone them to help me select another product. Which I'm guessing would cost me even more money.

I don't know why they accept my order, wait 3 days until the day of delivery and then cancel on me at the last second. Strange.

I don't know whether if its worth phoning up as their going to recommend me buying a worse or more expensive product.

Obviously they aren't being great to deal with, but have you spoken to them/called them as requested to sort it out?

You might find it's either a mistake, or they just sort it out over the phone for you then :)

Yeah you may as well phone them and see what they have to say- you never know they may do an equivalent deal, and if they don't you can always say no- nothing to lose....

I reckon they have several warehouses dotted around the country, coupled with a crap stock management system. Because it's free delivery they probably don't like shipping big stuff like TVs too far, so the deal shows in stock until they've all gone. When you order, they decide if they want to ship it the distance or not.

It's rubbish though- I feel for you as it's a decent deal.

Fingers crossed mine arrives, they have taken my money, and delivery is set for Saturday.

Well I rang up and their not moving. All they say is they can help me select another TV, which sounds kind of stupid and condescending to me if their not going to give me any type of deal or compensation.

At the end of the day it was a bad process from the get go. As soon as I placed my order no type of confirmation was sent to me via email. I clicked on the "print receipt" link on the site and all it printed was a blank piece of paper..... So from there I thought I was being scammed so I had to ring them up to see what was going on. They said they had actually recieved my order and that they will send me a receipt shortly. That came later that night. I then tried to log into the website and it said my account didn't exist? Then when it came to my day of delivery (on new years eve) they waited until 5pm in the evening to send me an email to let me know that the deal was off and any money taken would be refunded.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had at buying anything. Its a joke how ameteur this company is, and I would highly recommend that no one does any buisness with them.

Still gutted when I think about the whole thing, I guess I'll wait until panasonic bring out their new range and flog the current stuff.
