I reckon if the story holds up could be pretty special and the musical score, art direction, graphics and multi action/possibilities within the game seem to make it very appealing.
Deffo one to keep an eye for and might be one of those stand out games! Technically it seems very well thought out and will be using motion control, Blu Ray etc to good uses.

Too many FPS or 3PS action games we need more originality from developers.

Its a console, people have preferences, get over it.

Well, you'll have to excuse me if I put my faith in the majority opinion of the current reviews, even if you are buying it for the PS3.

Its like the GTA4 fiasco, virtually every review said "Its better on PS3", one website said, "its better on 360".
All of a sudden, GTA4 is a dog on Ps3, when in actual fact the opposite is true, by quite a way.

Yeah I found this to be true also lol, it was wierd. I mean as usual 360 and PS3 versions werent MILES apart. But I always remember so many people saying it ran crap on Ps3, when in actual fact for the most part the lower resolution in which the PS3 version was rendered in allowed for the game to perform better!(texture poppins being reduced, view distance, etc) while looking pretty much the same

Kinda agreed on MGS4. It looks great, but not quite up to the standard of U2. Then again, the graphics are very different (more, well... warlike) rather than the lush jungles and ice caves of U2.

I will say, some parts of MGS4 were pretty damn good graphically.... BAH! I really want to find the time to play through the game again!

The thing with MGS4 is it was stylish and graphically top notch too. Thats where my Joygasm came from. The cutscenes, the ingame animation...THE GAME. theres a reason its one of my favourite games of all time. Yes ALL TIME. its up there with RE2 and FF7 for me.

Ditto. Until U2, it was my favourite PS3 game.

True, but the XBOX360 version has more reviews recorded hence a higher aggregate score.

The PS3 only has a handful of reviews, 3 of which are from websites that also were not that keen on the 360 version for what ever reason, and its only those 3 reviews (who dont share the veiws of the majority of websites and magazines) that have mentioned any problems.

I would suggest and over critical reviewer or someone who just isnt into that kind of game.

Just to put the previous insistance from "james Im 100% correct millar" regards PS3 being HDMI 1.2 matter straight.
The CES Las Vegas Sony Conference confirmed PS3 will indeed work with Blu Ray 3D and PS3 S3D games via a firmware update. This includes approx 30+ million PS3 sold so far "Fat" and "Slim" will both be compatible. Proof it seems that PS3 had not only deep colour but also other 1.3 spec/features, importantly the added bandwidth over what 1.2 offered.

Well come the summer you should be able to buy a Bravia 3DTV which would be a nice device to christen your cable on.
Why did you need a 1.4 cable?

Plus 3D available on all current games is/was a big selling point for the PS3

At the going rate PS3 sales will likely catch and possibly exceed those of X360 this year.
Mainly due to Blu Ray, the PS3 catalogue of exclusives and of course 3D capabilities

I am amazed they didn't last year to be honest.

I can only imagine it's price differential that gives the 360 any chance at all of sustaining momentum, which even for me has been surprisingly good.

I am waiting for GT5 to hit before getting another PS3, it would be nice if they where doing some good sub £200 deals by then..

For me, I don't care about 3D and Blu-ray from a console, it's just the games I want!
