Hi guys,

I'm asking on MG forums anyway but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask on here.

I need to remove the headlining as someone has bought it, and the only way I can think of getting it out without creasing it is by removing the windscreen...

Now, besides a large hammer, how do you remove a windscreen? I'd rather not fill the car up with glass :p

Thanks :)

From Google:
We just did one on an old 90 commodore. Had to heat a long thin fishing knife, on portable gas burner, and cut through the sealant all the way round. Then put sheet under it and lifted it out. Worked OK. Hard work though.

or if yer not selling the screen parcelt tape it up from the inside then tape over a few opened binbags and then push/smash it out from the inside .

Last time I saw someone try and do this they nearly broke their leg pushing it out! And that was on a Pug 205 to!

See if you can find a local windscreen company who'll whip it out for cash?

Then ask him about your windscreen job too.

Looks like I'm gonna have fun tomorrow :(

I'd take it out via one of the doors if I thought I could without creasing it...hmmm...

I wouldn't be too keen on taking the front screen out, i'd measure and check if you can remove it via a back door diagonally (if you remove all the seats).
