I just bought my first Plasma!

Ok one last kick in the teeth, they actually just sent me an email asking me to complete a questionnaire over my recent purchase!? GAAHHH

Used to be a well known highstreet store which now only operates on the net by its original name. Begins with D.

Gotcha. Their prices are good but once they delivered a LG fridge freezer to us and the front door was smashed at the top. Was a nightmare getting them to replace; their customer phone lines are awful. If they arrange delivery direct from the manufacturer and you have any issues, they basically just put you through to the manufacturer's own help line which for LG, at least at the time, were truly awful.

Just had a call, mine won't be arriving on schedule (Saturday) due to the weather, but have rescheduled for Tuesday. I'll have to work from home (shame!) but at least it looks like it's going to happen.

they are part of one big chain ... they could have easily got another branch " a very hot spicy meal" to do the order ... ive seen it done with the purple shirt brigade

Exactly, seeing as they're part of a branch I'm sure something could have been arranged. I think I may send an email to try and force a deal because of their treatment. If your spending in the region of £750 you expect to be treated with a certain amount of respect.

Mine just arrived, so far I'm very happy with it, blu-ray is really good. It does seem to highlight how pants SD freeview is though!

The 46G10 has gone completely from the site, they only show the G15 now.

blag them and say you've always shopped there firs amongst others, and you feel disgraced at the treatment you recieved. this was meant to be a late xmas present for husband/wife and has come of a dissapointment. you feel as though you were treated in a bad way and that you always though companys care for their customers, not mess them around ect. dont mention asking for any compensation, just blag the victim card.

Ive just done this with w**k world due to being directed to one of their stores by one of their partner stores as they said they had two reconditioned machines in stock at a store 10 miles away. I rang their main number to reserve but got told I couldnt reserve the item and just to go instore. Once in store I asked one person and she said there wasnt any left, even though she didnt look so I asked another man who, once I explained I found laptop for said price on the internet and phoned up and they confirmed 2 to be in stock here at said price, he had a look around and came back to me with a display product. It was £75 cheaper than new, but £10 more expensive that I got quoted over the phone, I didnt argue because a bargainw as a bargain but we had to wait an hour, I though 75 quid is worth an hours wait, and offered to pay several times before leaving the shop. I had to wait for him to box it up for 15 minutes before said 1hour wait started. I came back 1 and a half hours later so that I wouldnt be waiting about and I would be straight in and straight out, only to find that they hadnt even boxed it up ready for me, and didnt even know what I was talking about when I explained which laptop it was. After getting to the checkout I got priced the full amount, which I argued was wrong because it was a reconditioned laptop. They argued back that it was not reconditioned but only restored and that it was to be sold as full price, which is their 'policy' even though its an end of line display item that many people have touched and used. I ran and got the man who agreed me the price, only to be told he just agreed the price that I told him assuming that was it and never checked it out (Even though the price I stated was £10 less than he came back to me with). Manager came out giving me all the tech bull**** on how the 'system was restored' not reconditioned and trying to lecture me about a restore process as though I had no clue and was dumb, only to get dirty looks as though I was cheap for arguing the facts that the battery life will not be 100%, as well as minor scratches and how could it possibly be sold as new. Furious at my time wasted, and pride broken I took all their names and stormed out. I rang the helpline to find out if that price I was quoted over the fone was a con, only to find it was the right price, but could only be bought online... The woman on the phone first time round told me it was in stock at said store.

Went in aother store and from entering and leaving it took a matter of 10 minutes, where as the other took 10 minutes to find someone, 15 to box up, 1.5 hours wait time to be sent away empty handed.

I'll be never using this store or any of their partner stores again, but I've sent a letter so hopefully I'll get some free vouchers :D
