8800 gts 512mb replacement

guys,

My 18 month old 8800gts has finally bitten the dust, so I need a replacement. Budget is up to £100 or so, not worried if it's ATI or Nvidia, needs to be a decent gaming card, and do 1650x1280 with at least the same performance as the 8800gts.

I'm open to options..... please?

I would go for a 4870, its faster than both and would be a good upgrade for sure. what PSU are you running?

If you can stretch to £120 check out the 5770....it will save you the price difference in the electicity bill over the next year or so

or if power is more your thing then check out the 4890/260 (the former being better but both great cards)

There's also an OCuK version of the 4890 - £125. Just note it takes up 3 slots instead of two on the other cards.

More (there's a difference of ~15% between the 5770 and 4890 @ 1920x1200, the gap will be smaller at your res)

At your res, if it was my money, it'd have to be the 5770. Power savings, cooler and features make it one hell of a card
