Cause i got a new Graphics Card for xmas i thought i would test out Crysis, i was actually able to run crysis on a pretty good setting. will post pics later

My System
Intel Pentium Duo Core 3ghz
4GB Crosiar Ram
Geforce Palit Sonic 260 GTX

Image Quality = Very High
AA = X4
Res = 1600 X

i haven't tried 1900 resolution, from looking at the benchmarks thats were ppl encouter problems.

one thing i did notice when i got to the first enemy base my pc began getting jurky and frooze, either the cpu or the graphics card got to hot not sure though, but tried it again and it ran fine. there is slight drop in FPS in some places but i was pretty outstanded by the quality and detail of the map. :D

4xAA will be the killer there. I tend to use maximum everything with with 0xAA or 2xAA

Was surprised with this actually, played the demo on release with so-so settings/fps on an 8800GT. Upgraded to a 4870 last year.

Got it in the Steam sale, whacked every slider to the right, full AA, 1680x1050. I'm nearly at the end now according to a friend, haven't noticed any real FPS lag. There have been a couple of points where gun has flipped out and got stuck in a wall causing mad FPS drop but that's because it was vibrating like crazy!

'In vehicle' seems to be a little unresponsive but I think that's due to the actual vehicle handling rather than FPS.

One thing I did notice is that the first level took an age to load, like 4+ minutes. Every other level has loaded in >30 seconds, strange.

I'll turn FPS on tonight to see what I'm getting, but as far as I'm concerned it's all good. Looks fantastic as well.

Yep i turned everything up to maximum accept for the the AA which is at x4 it's pretty smooth accept for slight motion blur , has anyone tried maxing out the AA?

Textures Very High, everything else high. It done low 40's at 1920 x 1200 until the final boss where it constantly run out of memory and crashed. Still haven't finished the bloody game. :/

yep aa is the killer here with this game every time you go up a aa you need a new card :D

I found no problems running everything on a combo of high/very high with 2xAA.

Currently working off:
4x Phenom 2.40ghz
ATI 4850
4GB OCZ Ram

I found the main problem to be the shaders, especially on the last level. Though its been the same with each playthrough, the last level just destroys my system.

go to 4aa then and play :D on 2 that your on should be about right with your card 4 will be choppy sometimes and lag

I was using 4x until Core, at which I had to get rid of AA as the game kept crashing (Reseting DX modes reset my AA). Didn't realise I'd only put it back on 2 until the final mission.

Well I've just upgraded to the spec in my sig. I was running everything on high (I'm on xp and I don't think I can get extra high?) and 4x aa and it was really smooth. Never any lag, but I've got a 1280 x 1024 monitor. But I've just borrowed my mates 22" samsung that's 1680 x 1050 and I've had to turn the aa off because it was so laggy. Still looks awesome though. I'm definitely saving up for a bigger screen!

I was really surprised when I put crysis on... got 8800 GTX and had it 1920 * 1200 with all on 'high' and AA on 2x ... ran pretty much perfectly... I had thought I'd be reduced to low settings at that res on that card, but pleasantly surprised :)

sorry ^^^ here ya go...
