The Official Motorola Milestone Thread

Ill have 30 days from canceling to the phone having to be here for me to use the PAC code, and if postie is struggling through the snow the phone will pribubly be here before the PAC code from Three anyway!

Anyone got any ideas on Screen Protectors? I just want one of the clear ones to cover the front. The one on Expansys is £16!
 
Battery life so far: average.

Around a day of heavy usage. But be careful as Android has many features that drain battery that can be disabled, and the screen being dimmed makes a ig difference too.
 
Hmm.... the Media Dock may have a purpose. I could stick ot on my desk at work and then my phone would be on charge all day... Not going to run out between finishing work and sticking ti on charge when I go to bed....

Still, £30...

I think the dock is awsome, going to get it for my bedside, saves money on an alarm clock!

You can make a free one with a magnet but it will look pap. :p

I also thought this at first, then remembered I not only have an alarm clock but also spend half my week at my GFs. Can't justify blowing £60 on a magnet for each house, and am too lazy to carry it around, so I just wont bother. What connection does it charge over?
 
Well, after lengthy conversations with Three where they went off to try to prove to me my coverage was fine (its not) and then get me a "great deal" on the HTC Hero, aparently "the latest Android handset available! for only £150" Ive finally aranged termination of my contract.

When the PAC code gets here (its a text from Three, which is nice) Ill be ordering the Milestone. Is Expansys still the best place with the TMob offer? And TMob arent poo are they?

Having never bought a contract phone through Expansys before, how does it work about a) getting Tmob all my details and b) getting my number to them. Will the phone just arrive working with the contract setup in my name and I can just call TMob with my PAC from Three and, as the phrase goes, 'Roberts your fathers brother'!
 
Well out of the option of posting it back and waiting three days or using the fax machine near my desk, the latter option is better for me. I've just placed my order so we'll see.
 
As long as you can access a Fax machine....

Just checked my status. Says they have sent me an email for further info, but no email as yet :(

Emailed them to find out where it is.

Attention Android lovers. The 2.01 update is on its way for all Milestone users - watch this space for more info. The Android 2.1 upgrade for MILESTONE is also on its way and will be ready in the next 2 months. We can confirm that DEXT will get the Android 2.1 upgrade as well – once we have the timing for this, will let you know here...

Ive just cancelled my current contract with three. (was amazinglin poor 300mins 300 texts, no net nothing £35pm!). I walked around my local phone shops today and no one had a clue about the milestone and tried to sell me a dext.

I then got offered a HD2 with 750mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £35pm and nothing for the hd2, they also offered £50 for any old phone. I tried the phone but i am unsure about wm:(

So, I am now contractless and needed a phone. Satnav is the most used app along side mp3 player in the car. Do i wait for the nexus one or order a Milestone today!? Convince me:D

I used to play a lot of emulators on my n95 but found them verry annoying with the 5800 touch only, maybe this is a clincer for the milestone?
