Metallica in the UK 2010

Anyone else as impatient as I am, waiting for them to give the UK some 2010 tour dates !?

Didn't know they were touring again this year! Saw them on the Death Magnetic tour last year and they were as amazing as always.

The new Blu Ray "Francais pour un Nuit" is great also.

They're probably my favorite band, but I've still never seen them live.

Hopefully if I can afford it this year and they're touring I'm just going to try and get a ticket and go, it's probably closing down to the line where hetfield will be unable to sing anymore, his voice has gotten ropey since DM.

They're the best band I've ever seen live, as far as the show itself is concerned, and I've seen them four times now. First time I ever saw them I was a member of the fan club and got to meet James and Jason backstage before the gig. That was totally awesome.

You really do owe it to yourself to see them on this tour - they're almost in their prime right now, proving to everyone that they can "still do it", coupled with the best tracks off of Death Magnetic and some of the hottest pyro work I've ever felt!

I don't think they'll be in the UK this year, they are doing Polands Sonisphere festival in June - which would lead me to think if they were going to play in the UK, they would have chosen the UK's Sonisphere festival.

Tbh Ives gotten bored of Metallica, especially their newer stuff. Maiden/Anthrax/Megadeth all the way

Oh and chuck a lil' Judas Priest in there too.

Never the less Id love to see them live

I'd love to see Metallica live. Seen Maiden and that day was simply sensational.

why would they do sonisphere again after doing it last year? think there will be a date or two either festival or a stadium show

there are various rumours abound, download is most likely of any festivals, there is rumour of a big 4 one dayer, and also a set of gigs at the albert hall/brixton, none have any basis though

Maiden are doing download or so ive heard. One of there conditions were, only if you don't book Metallica too. So i doubt they'll do download.

The rumours ive heard for 2010 are that they will be playing the Millennium Stadium and Wembly, 2 nights each possibly.

Seen Metallica once in 2007 at Wembley and second at Reading Festival in 2008.

Favourite band of all time.

I'll go see them again at wembley if I could, fantastic venue!..shame about the cost of food and liquids inside though.. total ripoff.

I missed Wembley 2007 as my daughter was born the day before, had tickets but my brother went in the end. Did see them that year anyway and will see them at Sonisphere Poland later in the year. That'll be the 21st time

I'd have to say I think the complete opposite!

Saw Metallica at Sonisphere 2009 and quite honestly it just felt like they were going through the motions.

Maiden on the other hand still seem to put in effort :>

Bout 2 years yeah, don't get me wrong - I love their first 3/4 albums but their newer stuff just doesn't compare to the newer stuff that's being brought out by the other old school metal bands I listen to, which is why Metallica have kind of taken a back seat for me.

I take it you didnt see them on the somewhere back in time world tour? They were sensational, i saw them in New Jersey. I'm on the flight 666 dvd lol

My first time seeing them but i went with my mate whos a huge maiden fan. He said it was the best maiden gig/tour we went on. Hes been all about the uk and europe seeing them.

Maiden are headlining Sonisphere and will not be doing Download as it would break their contract with the festival. Its billed as their only uk date of 2010 aswell.

No I didn't see them on that tour but having seen them 3 times either on their own at a festival I've got no interest in seeing them again. I don't rate them at all and will be going to see somebody on the small stage at sonsphere or back to Stevenage when they are on at sonisphere.
