One of the more interesting product announcements (well carefully leaked information) lately has been the eVGA dual-socket (LGA 1366) motherboard. This will be an uber high-end tweakers dual LGA-1366 motherboard based on the Intel 5500 "Tylersburg" chipset with the usual ICH10R southbridge. We had a sneak peek at eVGA's CES suite in the Wynn hotel. Considering you'll need SMP support the dual-socket motherboard will have to support the Xeon 5500 series and the 6-core Xeon Westmere's. As the picture reveals you'll spot the two LGA-1366 sockets, each powered by an 8-phase digital PWM circuit. Each socket is wired to six DDR3 DIMM slots supporting triple-channel memory for that socket. The board has 7 PCIe slots and to feed them the motherboard is equipped with two NF200 (NVIDIA) bridge chips to add additional PCIe lanes. We took a couple of photo's, check em out.

I don't get it. Every thread you make is like this one; a link to something potentially interesting, a source, and your name. Just trying to keep ocuk informed of news?

Nope, nothing wrong with it at all. Quite unusual though. Please continue proving sources for the information.

Cheers

This is surely going to be one of the fastest boards ever.

Providing support for dual Xeon X5680 cpu's with overclocking. It will be a pricey set-up. However if the 3.33ghz 32nm chips reach 4ghz, you'd get the same equivalent performance of 3 regular 4ghz i7 systems.

that motherbored sucks...nobody will buy it because of the price! if it was avaliable for all it would be amazing :)

My 2010 resolution is to get 2 i9 processors or 2 i7 extremes...this motherboard...
3-4 5970s, 24gb crosair 2000mhz ram. 6 256gb SSD drives. Oh and a wind turbine to power the thing.

if thats even possible
