So what happens if you don't vote, does it get counted as a vote for the party in power at the time. If nobody voted would Labour retain their position.

In answer to the op then something independant if it becomes available.

No, if nobody voted then there would be no MPs. A non vote does not go to the incumbent party or anybody else.

I am tempted to vote Tory just to give David Cameron some hope for the future. I almost feel sorry for him these days.

I might have been a natural supporter of the Tories, if they were actually a conservative party. Britain needs an ultra conservative regime to sort this country out but the modern day Conservative party sure as hell isn't it.
Hence the dilemma, but I'll still vote.

Lib dem, no way I'd want a bunch of conservative nutters come in and mess the country up properly all over again *ahem* maggie.
ROTFLMAO.

She did more for this country than you'll ever do. Most of which has been undone by Labour and Brussels.

Lets all point at the lefty.

Maybe as you are living on the other side of the planet you shouldn't take part in an election which doesn't concern you?

Oh really? I'm a British citizen, mate. I have every right to vote. Are you going to tell all the ex-pat Brits all over the world that they shouldn't be voting? Good luck with that; let me know how it works out for you. :D

Are you still registered to vote?

Of course! I am a British citizen, after all. My wife and I still have a house in the UK and we still get irritating little letters from the local council about various bits & bobs. We expect to receive our voting paperwork at the appropriate time. :)

Labour. The economy is the most important thing for the foreseeable future and Boy George and the Conservatives are sooo out of their depth it would be laughable were it not for the dire consequences of their policies for all of us.
