I am thinking of getting an iphone and i am looking to insure it. Under £5 a month or a decent yearly fee. I am not covered by my bank or house insurance. any ideas

£9.99 a month is stupidly expensive. If you have a Lloyds TSB Silver account you get it free and it's only £7.50 a month for the account :/

Just left vodafone was paying £9.99 a month and a £35 contract. The new contract is with Tesco 12month and £20 a month but they dont do phone insurance

Saying £9.99 for insurance is stupidly expensive???
But then you pay £7.50 for an account, I would say thats silly. Ask your network provider that would be easiest i would imagine.

£9.99 a MONTH for just phone insurance or £7.50 a MONTH for a bank account that gives you free mobile insurance and other extras. It was just an example of how expensive it is compared to other things.

Yes £120 a year is stupid for a phone, some people don't even pay that much insurance on their cars....

Read this guide: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/cheap-mobile-phone-insurance

When I went into t-mobile looking for a PAYG handset they said the insurance was £30 a year (this was for the pulse) so £120 a year seems expensive

Any of these bank account extras that have phone insurance don't include 'smart phones' such as the iPhone.

i pay £12 for my natwest account which gives me phone insurance, car breakdown and a few others.

£9.99 for phone insurance is retarded.

That was supposed to be many not any btw.

I tried before and was told smart phones are not covered.

Yeah, I agree it's very expensive.

I also think that paying £7.50 for a bank account is daft, I don't really care what it includes to be fair.

Paying Vodafone is easier then messing about getting my iphone put under another type of insurance.

I was just providing it as an example, if you want to be lazy and pay double than what you should then that's not really my problem :)

"double what I should"

What exactly should I be paying? £7.50 for a bank account :D

It was just an example, it's a bank account with instant interest on cheques, breakdown and mobile insurance whilst still being cheaper than than the 'convenient' option.

What "should" I be paying for my phone insurance then?

£7.50 for it to be included in my bank account?

I think you are being facetious for the sake of it. Again, it was an EXAMPLE in case you missed it the first three times.

I have seen many policies for £55 for the whole year.

If you actually read the first post, you'd see that the OP was trying to keep it as low as possible.

Well done, care to give the OP any information on these £55 deals?

I replied with what Vodafone offered me on insurance.
