It makes no difference either way. If you're going to run a poker league it must be 100% free and open to all players. One of the main reasons is there are under 18's who might wish to play, and nobody must be excluded from the forums' point of view, however most poker sites require you to be 18. If under 18's were paying to play poker and it was found out that OCUK ran this league with kids paying to play poker, they could get in a world of trouble for it.

It costs approximately £8 to set up a 50-player max table on SJ. I'll have a nosey around and see if anywhere will do it for free.
 
Definately interested but can't say I will definately be able to play in all of them. PokerStars never got back to me on the "free" freeroll tables, not sure if FullTilt offer anything.
 
Would be interested in playing. Will check with a site I used a long time ago that you used to be able to set up free private tournies. It used to be poker.com but was bought by carbonpoker I think. Still got the software installed at home. Will check later tonight.
 
ok i'm in if i can just remember on Sunday to play.

:( Most sunday's i sit at the pc at 9pm thinking carp i've just missed another game :(

Also the last two months of 09 were non existant.

willing to pay again this year. In a moment of drunkenness I put 30 quid into sj by accident.
 
Im in, but i dont understand how your going to control a different host each week. What happens if someone who hasn't hosted before can't. Although $10 aint that much.

It's entirely voluntary. As nice as it would be to see those who regularly participate contribute by paying for a table once in a while, you'll probably never get all players contribute. I may be wrong, but it's likely.
 
I think I played one game back when this first started, but for whatever reason never played again. Only remembered when I tried to regster and it told me that my email address was already in use!

Hi all :)

I've signed up and booked my space. I've played poker about 4-5 times with friends (usually 8-9 people) so more or less getting the hang of it. Not played online yet and just wanted to learn a bit more :)

Go easy on me :p
 
Checked with the site I used to use and they do not offer private tables without buyins anymore. And sadly I will not be able to play for a while as will be travelling sunday nights
