I don't have any video-fu or the necessary software (nor a camera and thus the motivation to buy it)

Could someone who finds it trivial to do kindly download this 65 second (300+ MB) .MOV made on a 5DII

http://www.tug.com/stuff/moon.MOV

and kindly:

- Trim it to 60 seconds by removing the wobbly bits at the begining and end where I didn't use a cable release
- Remove the sound
- Save it in a HD format suitable for me to upload to Youtube

Many thanks,

Andrew

If anyone hasn't done this i'll get my Mac Pro on it tomorrow... [away from it atm]

But I suspect someone will have done it by then :)

Just for the info, what does You Tube require in terms of format? H264 in .mov?

Not looked at the video resolution but YouTube will now play 1080p if the video has the higher resolution :) (1920*1080)

I'm in work so couldnt do it until 6pm tonight.

The 5DII shoots 1080p at 30fps in H264.movs so it should be fine for uploading youtube without conversion, I cant get at your file to trim it as it wont download from here (work).

I take it Youtube don't include basic trimming options on upload yet then?

if your desperate you could download windows moviemaker live which is very straight forward to use and has built in youtube uploading functions.

The file won't download for me either (at home), something wrong with the hosting?

Perhaps a temporary blip?

Here, at my work, right-click-save-as gets going and suggests a 28 minute download.

i am getting more and more determined to get a mac...

DL at 4.4mb/s

I use PC for editing my videos and I do just fine without needing a mac

Nope me it seems... :o I just clicked on the link expecting a download box to appear, which didn't... Right clicking and "save as" works fine though.

~2300mm? Wow! :D

(or is it 1.4 of the 800 not 1600?)
