Tesco to dominate everything and the world?

I hate to love tesco and i love to hate them.

They're good for a big shop as they have some good offers, 3/1 3 for a £10 etc but they never have any good BOGOF offers anymore which is why i used to go there :(

I find Asda much cheaper than Tesco. Is this down to them being Walmart in disguise?

Asda is good, veg is better condition and much bigger selection than tesco or sainsburys.

I think it all quiet localized to be honest, we had to stop going to Asda because the fruit was poor on purchase and the meet was alway turning before the use by date,

We still go back for their pizzas and stuff but most big shops are done at tesco, clubcard points = airmiles too!

I have thought this for a while, eventually yeah, if anyone does it'll be tescos.
You ever see wall-e, tescos will be the buy and large thing.

One of the many reasons I hate working there. One of the many reasons I dont shop there.
I care about quality, even tescos finest stuff is injected with water and imported from stupid countries half the time. I support my local farmer, it's sometimes even cheaper to buy local.

Local independants have good service, good produce, good value for money, they support their suppliers and their staff actually make a good wage. If my local butchery were to close down i don't know what i would do. Live off my allotment maybe?

It's a wonder why the government hasn't stepped in, theres certain rules about fair trading, tescos is monopolising EVERYTHING. And it's daft.

Asda have always been slightly cheaper than Tescos i dont think there has ever been much in it though.

Milton Keynes ASDA is great though, much nicer than the surrounding Tescos.

When they finally get round to starting their bank, they will be untouchable, to quote the BBC "they have the reputation other banks would kill for".

Rubbish, Tesco has a really bad reputation with a lot of people. There is a lot of annoyance that a Tesco Express is going to open up in out high street (we already have 6 supermarkets in our town including two large tescos) right next to a Waitrose.

I definately wouldn't bank with a buy cheap sell cheap company..

Yes, except when there's a match on, the car park is a nightmare. Tescos in Kingston is pretty bad with it's narrow aisles and grumpy staff.

As much as people dislike supermarkets for their unethical practices I really wouldn't want to go back to having to go to 10 different shops to buy all my stuff.

Yes their service isn't the best but local retailers should use this to their advantage and market in that direction.

When I went in for a PS3 they took 30 minutes to tell me the PS3 with whatever size hard drive I wanted didn't exist. I had to buy it elsewhere...

I think the government needs to make sure they don't ever get a monopoly and that they pay a minimum for products but as they no where near have a monopoly and most products come from abroad what can you do?

Wal Mart > Tesco's
Wal Mart is the largest corporation in the world, i cant see tesco's beating them any time soon outside of the UK ;)
I can. Tesco are extremely good at what they do, and are very innovative.

As much as it pains me to say it, on balance they knock spots of the other supermarkets (including Wal Mart/Asda) and their meteoric growth just goes to confirm that.

Innovative? How?

All the extra they do is cheap no name TV's and some rubbish clothes!

At least Sainsburys sell Panasonic. :p
