As per title just part exhanged the cheapy Puma I had for a MK3 Mondeo, reasoning was the Puma was just too crampt inside and I just couldn't seem to get on with it. I'm quite tall so it got annoying with a lack of steering adjustment and only being able to see up to 50mph on the clocks without laying right back :p

Anyway, this car has one previous owner yes one. It has full service history and always serviced on time, last service was at 95k which was a full service at Ford.

Specs :

2l Zetec
100k

Paid Puma + £400 for it, car was listed up for £1800, I wanted to spend less on a Mondeo but this seemed like too nice an example to let it go and 400 isn't a massive amount considering how much more car I'm getting. The drive home was fantastic I didn't really realise just how good these cars are.

Only one picture as it was dark by the time I get home, I'll do some more asap.

Was the Puma falling to bits, sound like you got utterly shafted on the PX. Should have been at the very least a straight swap for that?

Welcome Fox :p

It had the usual rust, and only s/h up to 50k which is why I paid so little for it to begin with. I got a vaulation on the Puma, it was worth £1400 ~ below average condition which Glass put it at (lack of s/h, slightly shoddy bodywork)

You are like a trainee DannyW - youve got the whole buying shabby junk thing off to a fine art, now all you need to do is learn how to sell them to others as mint :)

Mind you Mondeo looks like your first good buy since the Focus, so fingers crossed :)

Oh and, I would only class the 3 Series I bought as shabby everything else hasn't really cost me much money other than running costs at all.

I spent nothing on the Puma or 172 and enjoyed the 172 a lot, the puma not so but it wasn't a shabby car really only rust problems which you get with them all

wait you had a clio 172 which you enjoyed, now you're driving a mk3 mondy? why?

I know which i'd have everyday of the week.

This has been detailed in this very thread

I know which I'd have as well I was only 19 when I got the 172 which meant I paid through the roof on insurance, I couldn't face giving the insurance company almost 2k again and with it needing work I had to take it off the road for a while

The mondeo is 700 a year fully comp and probably (hopefully) more reliable for the 20 mile/day commute to Uni
