What do you mean? do you mean just the burger it's self (the meat) or the whole thing? (meat, bread, trimmings)

How you cook the burger will probably have just as much of an effect as what was in it to start with.

Beef, pork, tabasco sauce, tomato paste, wholegrain mustard, sprinkle of dried chicken stock. Beaten white of egg to keep together?

keep it simple. finely dice and fry an onion till translucent. mix with mince beef(not lean) add an egg, parsley and season.

If you want you can add other flavours.

750g mince, 1 small/medium egg, handful of breadcrumbs, 1 small onion finely chopped and fried then allowed to cool. Mix it together, form into burgers and then refrigerate for about an hour before cooking.

I like the burger simple, make a round pattie from mince and grill it. Then top with cooked bacon and cheese (blue is nice), grill it till the cheese melts and stick it in a bun.

For an alternative, try pepperoni or chorizo slices.

Burger recipes are all very similar as they are quite simple to make, but the following is good :

Beef Mince (amount depends on the number of burgers you want to make).
Chopped Jalapenos.
1 Chopped Apple (very small pieces, but not "fine", per se).
Paprika.
Salt.
Pepper.
1 Egg.
Mozzarella.

Mix all of the above, except the Mozzarella, throughly in a large mixing bowl by hand. Form into patties, then push some cheese into the center of each and re-form to seal. Grill/barbeque to desired cooking standard.

Serve with salad on lightly toasted sesame seed buns.

THe most important ingredient in a decent burger is decent beef.

Keep it simple. Get the best beef you can get, mince it, make it into a pattie and cook (pref on coals).

I make those often. Usually omit the 'slaw' though. Very good and simple.
Just make sure to put them in the fridge long enough so they stay together - at least an hour really.
It's an American recipe, I'm too tired to type it out in a proper language atm but I'm sure you'll be fine.
Oh, and I just adjust accordingly to make proper size burgers - none of those small ones. What stupid things!

The apple in this recipe is the key, so don't be afraid to use quite a lot - just dice it very finely and it'll add a great background taste without making 'apple burgers'.
