One from todays shoot.

Will do a thread when all are ready :)

Hmmm, couple of oddities with that one. What's going on with the gap on her right arm? Looks like a missed bit of PP? Same with the right of the image, can see some wrinkled backdrop (assuming its not meant to be seen).

Otherwise, your shots are getting better and better from my point of view. I can see it working for her in the context it was taken, if you get what I mean. Subjects are alright too ;)

Thanks dude, yeah I missed those bits in haste, my bad :) - Lots of Lia to come :)

Nice photos ghop. I particularly like 2, 3 and 5. 1 shows that you need to have a clean of your sensor, you appear to have some dust spots on it.

The last one could do with some more processing I think, if you really want it to have some punch, and give it a bit more impact.

Thanks, and yeah, my sensor does need a clean :)

And what do you think I could do in terms of processing with the last one? All that's on it at the moment is some subtle saturation adjustments. What could I try to give it more impact? :)

Well I'm by no means an expert at landscape stuff, but I think the sky is a little washed out. Perhaps simulate what a graduated ND filter would do, and drop the exposure on the sky. I might also up the contrast within the sky to give the clouds a bit more 'pop' and definition.

Don't get me wrong though, it works great as it is :)
Where is it out of interest?

I too also like 2, 3 and 5. Particularly number 5. I just love the composition...
Here's with a slight adjustment of you jpeg:
I just dropped the contrast abit for the sky, up the saturation a tiny bit, lower the brightness down about 10-15% and up the sharpness a wee bit. I did adjust the foreground a tiny bit but nothing too different from your original.

Editb.jpg

Brings out the sky abit as your original was abit too over exposed.
(Just wanting to show you how abit of specific editing can help, I can remove the image if you do not like it)

BTW, where did you take number 2? Very cool!

Thanks :) The sky 'appears' to be washed out but it's actually not. The sky was quite 'misty' (in search of a better word?) when I took it. would have course prefer it properly blue :) It was taken in South Germany. Can't remember exactly where, but what I can say is that it's an absolutely beautiful place. I highly recommend visiting there, even if only for the beer!

Thanks! That looks great! The sky especially! Might have a go at removing some of the hazyness in the sky tomorrow. And number 2 was in the Gough Cave in Cheddar. :)

Been taking pictures of toys I've picked up recently. First up is a 3 inch tall Sackboy figure, from the Little Big Planet game. Done a bit of PP on them and would quite like to know which of these might be the most appealing.

I got a Danbo through the post this morning too, and will share some pics of him (her?) once I've taken something decent!

Just bought a GF1 instead of lugging a D300 everywhere, and these are my first test shots.
Jpg's resized, no other post processing
