Steering won't self centre

When you turn the wheel whilst moving, and let go it will try to centre itself back to straight, that's what I mean by self centre. This Ka has stopped it apparently..

Yeah I thought tracking and tyre pressures. Are the ball joints on the end of the track rods or am I thinking something completely different? And would it cause a slightly heavier steering?

Thanks

The lower universal joint (i.e. one closest to the rack) in the Ka steering column have a habit of seizing up and making the steering very stiff. Unfortunately on the models with power steering the UJ is part of the column and not replaceable separately.

The balljoints are at the end of the lower arm/wishbone (you are thinking of the track rod ends)

Definitely check out the UJ as Dogbreath suggests if it is a known weak spot.

I guess, I dont think I ever expected it to 'self centre', dont really think about it. I guess you wouldnt unless it stopped doing it :D
