I need a new knob...

It came off comically in my hand after i gave it an enthusiastic tug the other day, it was rather unexpected and now i feel i should get another as my girlfriend is complaining.

Gear knob that is you perverts.

At the moment it's just sitting on top of the gear stick, are all gear knobs standard fit? Apart from mine being a lift for reverse that is. I just wanted to pick one up cheap somewhere, car is a mk2 clio.

That's how you remove them, shove it firmly back on.

There is no shoving it back on, it seems it was held on by a small thin plastic collar which was coming off anyway, and my enthusiastic gear change ripped it and the gear knob off. So currently it's just resting on top of the stick.

Put electrical tape around the shaft, push the knob on as hard as you can.
