fifa 10 tournaments - what do you do?

basically me and my friends are going to be doing a fifa tournament. there are some twists to this story though and rules. my team whenever i play is normally brazil, failing that i go barcelona.

in the tournament my friends have said you cannot go international teams. barcelona has already been taken and you cannot go the same as someone else. inter milan, chelsea and man utd have also been taken. therefore that leaves me with real madrid (who have a shocking defense compared with the other teams) unless someone can come up with a better team?

any suggestions?

also one of the guys plays a 5-3-2, with a sweeper playing behind the back four, basically on top of the keeper. this defense is impossible to break down, and he counter attacks. any ideas on how to beat this defense? the sweeper means through ball's and 1-2's dont work, neither do lobbed balls.

playing with rubbish teams is key to avoiding these arguments. then no one 'knows' the squad

its rubbish when someone has spent the last several years playing constantly with there favourite club team then picks them and knows every single weakness and strength. whilst your stuck with your 4th choice team that youve played with once before. whats the point.

if your trying to find who the best player is then everyone needs to be able to be whoever they want. if you want entertainment then rubbish teams is the future! even gives people whove rarely ever played the game before a chance

Unfortunately due to the telepathic nature of the players in FIFA10, and the fact that its almost nothing like real football, its difficult to say how to play against it.
I would still set up up 4-4-2, but in a diamond, with the RWF and LWF pulled in quite tight (but not too much) to encourage him to push his fullbacks into the space on the wings, leaving you gaps to break into, In theory it would leave you a man over on the counter even with the sweeper he plays.
