Fizzy Phone: Mobile Runs On Coca-Cola

sponsored by coke by any chance? it only needs sugar in a liquid. How long does it work for is the bigger question. Before you have to replace the equipment.

Why won't they develop it further?? It is a great invention if it lasts 4 times longer than lithium ion. It wouldn't only be limited to phones. Imagine cars that run on coke. :D

Edit;

Good point actually.

other companies are doing similar. i suspect cost or problems. how long does the enzyme chemical reaction and apparatus last for,

From what I read, it wouldn't have enough power to even make a call with current technology.

Seems like a great idea & to futuristic is not a good reason not to do it. Companies like Nokia are greedy, what do you think will happen to their battery biz. if people can just get a coke & be charged?

They won't reject good technology for no reason. there will be problems with it.

Hope it's waterproof :p
The number of people that will overfill it or spill on it while attempting to "charge" it would be quite amusing.

If they did another company without a battery business would release it and Nokia would not only lose sales for it's batteries but also not make a profit from the new tech.

Umm, wouldn't this end up costing you a lot more?

Due to the fact you are pretty much buying a can of drink everytime you charge, costing more than the electricity?
