Hey guys, not sure when this started, but it seemed to happen quite suddenly and it's getting worse. I've never seen a monitor do this before.
1. turn monitor on. THe blue light will come on but sometimes just flash. there is a hint of the backlight behond what looks like a black screen.
2. after several tries of turning it off and back on it does this:
you can jsut about make out a square in the top left that says 'digital' - showing the monitors input. the grey bar in the middles gradually spreads out to make the whoel screen grey:
3. once it;s fully grey, I find that leaving it for a few moments gives me the best chance of it working when I turn it off and on again.
4. if it has worked, the desktop appears but flickers very very fast, faster and faster until it stops and remains static. once it's up and running it's as if nothing has ever happened.
5. turning it off an on at this point will make it behave as normal, but leaving it off for more than around 10 minutes will make it start to get worse again.
It's 100% isolated to the screen. it does it when no input is plugged in ( 'the no signal detected screen)
it's as if something has to warm up, or charge up somwhere. Any ideas? It;s a 225BW
p.s I've got to the point of having to leave it on all night tonigth as I need to be able to use it tomorrow. I fear it is truly on it;s last legs tonight, hence the 3:51 post
