Recommend me a laptop for £350

Hello all,

I am looking for a new laptop for around £350. I don't need anything great just reliable, preferably good battery life and not bad speed. I don't play games and won't need a big hard drive. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. Is 1.6ghz processor going enough even just for internet browsing and basic documenting?

Well, if it's just basic internet browsing and the odd document it would be fine. Unfortunately I stay on the Mac side of things so honesty can't comment on tech specs - I know there's more to processors than just clock speed though

Or just picked up the Mrs a Lenovo G550 for £330, but I think they've been discontinued. Probably worth a search about though.

the compaq netbook with ION as posted already is a great buy for 306. I really really couldn't recommend a netbook more. Super light, super battery, super low power consumption. Also with ION graphics to speed things up a notch. And you cant argue with £316 right?

The one I linked you to has a slightly larger screen, has DDR3 instead of DDR2, has a HDMI port, has more support for memory cards and I think it generally looks nicer
