Spec me a Sci Fi Themed Fancy Dress Outfit

Its my mates 21st birthday coming up and the theme shes chosen is Sci Fi.

I was thinking maybe getting a few people together for Ghost Busters but all the outfits ive found online either look cheap and are expensive or are just way too expensive.

So OCUK any ideas please :)

That or grow a goatee, find a lab coat and a crowbar and go as Gordan Freeman.
 
wow that bumblebee outfit is awsome! could do gordan freeman but doubt many people there would get the reference.

I pondered a star wars character but looking online all the outfits look really rubbish and are ridiculously overpriced.

If anyone has any good links to fancy dress sites it would be much appreciated.

Also should say im on a student budget so dont want to be spending an arm and leg :p

that bender outfit is ace! looks kinda like it was homemade as well. Dont fancy cross dressing again unless the outfit would be epic. Could do a zoidberg that looks fairly easy.

The Zoidberg one does look the easiest maybe, but not the most fun perhaps. Listen to the clever rabot.

I'd go for the Zoidberg one tbh.
 
Get her to go as tank girl then you have many student related options as many of the characters seem to dress like the people I knew from Uni with a few slight modifications (nope we didn't all dress as kangeroos whilst in Uni :p).

She dresses up in a skimpy costume, most of the clothes are fairly readily available in cheap-cheap type shops if not already owned.

Win-win for you ;)
