Hey!
I'm pretty computer illiterate so bare with me!
I recently got a 2233rz- and to my horror I can't use resolutions lower than native at 120hz! I googled the problem and it seems to be a problem that only occurs if you have ati cards and windows 7. Great choice of products by me then!
Anyways, I've read ways that people have claimed to fix this (if anyone knows, are there any clearcut fixes!?) but a few people have said that editing the driver file(s)? (.inf 's i think? No idea) has worked for them, but I've only seen people changing this for the viewsonic screens.
Pretty much, is there anyone around that can maybe point me in the right direction as to whether or not this is a good idea and how the hell I would do this? Or, alternatively, to another option that has worked for others?
Have also read that disabling DDC/E-DDC (not really sure what they are
) works as well but involves pulling pins out of my dvi cable, which I'm not overly keen on doing!
If anyone has any experience with this stuff or could lend a hand it'd be great! Cheers
(Just incase- specs are Windows 7 64-bit HP, AMD Phenom 550 3.1ghz x2, radeon 4850, 4gb ram.)
