Good Prices! Good Prices!

Wow, he has a really big head. Comically big, in fact.

CEOs and execs sell shares before a big product launch for working capital or something. Think we did this story a little while ago.

I really don't believe his selling shares has anything to do with working capital, Nvidia while having their issues has a pretty large cash reserve at the moment, though going down no doubt while not selling a huge amount.

Could be messing with the books, selling shares and pumping money in to make their income look better for a quarter :p

Very weird of him to sell when the market is moving up, and up, and up, and up though as he's lost out on a shedload of money by not waiting.

Yep, but those look like long-term trades to me, as I doubt he trades the swings. He has to stair step out as not to panic the market.

ITs more a case of, the entire market is going up, it seems nuts to sell where he did knowing full well he'd get, 30-50% more within a few months.

Dirk at AMD did much the same, except he's been buying over the last year when AMD's stock tanked along with the rest of the market, and now whatever money he ploughed in, is worth 5 times as much.

I can understand rich people investing as the stocks increase in value dramatically(AMD's gone up almost 500% this year, Nvidia have gone up a good 200-300%), I can't for the life of me understand selling in such large quantities this year.

Its perfectly possible these are just blocks of shares he's being paid in as many CEO types are, and he's selling them for personal cash to buy houses, and cars, and planes and hookers(and balsa wood :p ). Steve Jobs at Apple gets massive payouts of Apple shares and he often sells them aswell, I just can't imagine why on earth you'd be selling now.

Like I said I can imagine him building a big house or buying something huge and selling a bunch to cover it, but had he sold his second last lot, at the price of the last lot, he'd have made an extra 1.5million or so, for waiting a couple months as the whole industry is moving forwards, likewise Nvidia hit up to 18.5 in the last month or so, which would have gotten him an extra several million if he'd waited and I can't imagine he's buying that much stuff all at the same time that he has to have that money now.

AS said, loads of ceo's and people have been hitting the stock market this year big time, but most of them have been buying and making millions upon millions, he's one of the few selling, making millions, but millions less than he could be...... its just odd, not bad, or wrong, just odd.

On the face of it it looks insane bailing out at the start of an upturning market, unless of course something nasty is about to happen to Nvidia in the shape of a steaming fat turd called Fermi . . .

I'm only kidding :P

Bill Oddie!

(that's what it sounds like to me when they say "reloading")

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who thought this! I heard it months ago when my brother played it and I said 'why is he shouting Bill Oddie?' - we laughed so much :D I expect he's hiding in the trees filming Korean Birdwatch :D

The 3D glasses photo - too funny...

I'm not going to speculate over the OP regarding the shares and Fermi...lets just see if the product comes to market (on time) and if its a viable high end card. I won't be upgrading until HD58XX series refresh time.
