Which FIFA do you think was the best?

Either 08 or 09.

I'm seriously considering selling '10, every time I play it I end up disappointed. So many stupid bugs and little changes that have ruined it.
 
The ones on the Snes/Mega Drive are my favourites (one where the camera was diagonal by default)

Because of the AI/scripting/balancing/whatever you want to call it. It ruins the whole experience.

I also bought this game to hammer manager mode, however since the amount of bugs in that game I haven't bothered.
 
I think 09 is my fave though i recently picked up 08 for 99p so will try that out when i get round to it :)

Theres something about 10 that i dont like..

Sadly not. The AI/whatever is very involved, whether it's the netcode or programming or what I don't know but it's truly awful.

One of the last games I played was a prime example, I was Man Utd as he chose Chelsea. He had a throw level with the box, my players were crowded round him, Essien gets the ball, turns towards my penalty box and my defenders all run away from him like he is trying to rape them, he then gets into the box and smashes it past my keeper (who as well decided it would be agood idea to run out to the 6 yard box).

That leads me onto my other point about keepers, I hate how they always come running out, double tapping triangle does not stop this.

This game could have been epic with 360 degree dribbling and the skill dribbling but it wasn't. It's truly awful, and my first point is only one incident of numerous ones that I have had both happen to me online and read about over at the Fifa 10 forums, if I was rubbish at the game I would accept my failings, but to lose to poor AI that is out of my control shouldn't happen as you say, it's 1v1 no AI involed etc, but it is. If you haven't noticed it then fair enough.
 
I agree to some extent, sometimes the AI defending is really poor (a lot better than 09 mind) but not enough to warrant me not playing it, I rarely see BIG errors in defence that cost me. I do win the majority of my games though, and the ones I lose to are usually very good players that run rings round me.

Keepers are hit and miss, I don't see that many lobs anymore. You see a lot in VP matches but thats because the keepers are 4ft tall.

Next time I'm on the PS3 and I see you playing I'll send you an invite.

Some games I admit it's immense online then you get games that are awful, maybe it's people with poor connections that the game 'helps/fills in for' as it's only against randoms I have ever had these problems, against my mates that have this game I have no problems what-so-ever and I have really enjoyable games against them.

I hate playing on anything that a 3 bar latency, otherwise the button lag ruins the game for me.

I have a lot of epic games, I love playing it :)

Oh and I'm not on PS3...yet, but will give you a shout when I do. 360 at mo.
 
08 without a doubt, I can still go back to that now and enjoy it just as much as I did originally.

The pace of play was bang on for my tastes and imo you could play a much slower more calculated passing game if you wished to which you can't do so well in 09/10 as they are more focused towards counter attacking football.

And PES 4 despite the chip shots.
 
I liked Fifa 07 on the Xbox1, for one main reason.

The manager mode let you manage in each of the games championship manager style (meaning you dont play but see text coming up of the status of the game)..

This feature is sorely lacking from all the next gen versions of this game.
 
10. (but then only rly comparing it to 09)

I remember in 09 some online club games taking an AGE to get going. Now it can take seconds (or a max of 1.30min) Online FIFA game and netcode stability much better for me. Ive had hardly any crashes in 10. new VP system (not perfect but more pluses than minuses).
