Finally made a decision and traded it in.
What did it get replaced with ? the Volvo S60 2.4 T5 Sport in blue that was on autotrader with the DVD player in the back. 2005 55 with 113,000 miles. Was up for £5995
Its 1 owner, and an ex lombard fleet management car. Its got a stack of history with it, its had 18 continental sportcontacts over the years, 2 MOTs with no advisories, and had the cambelt changed at 90,000 miles. Doesnt need changing till 180,000 miles now.
Service after that has been done, so doesnt need a service for another 15,000 miles and has Tax / MOT till august.
Its still got a turbo that can fail, but it comes with 6 months warranty insurance from the dealer, its an insurance plan with Motorcare warranties. Its the gold plan which seems to cover most things. The excluded list is only what you'd expect like battery, body damage, light bulbs etc..
Its a lovely straight motor, matching tyres, matching plates, still got the toolkit and spare wheel etc.. Wheels are a bit kerbed, but then so where the ones i traded in so i cant argue.
Now got a couple of grand to put in the pot, and the Tax and tyre bills have been halfed with please the mrs.
Genuinely gutted that its gone, i actually cried a bit at the dealers, which everybody picked up on and took the **** out of me for, but i really loved the VXR.
Still, i'm happy as ive gained a few upgrades. Its got auto dimming rear view mirror, rear parking sensors, auto wipers, bonnet lifters, bluetooth hands free system (not sure if they have a cradle for the iphone, need to do some research) and its got £400s worth of DVD player and wireless headphones in the back.
