Steam Weekend Deal: Dirt 2 50% off @ £14.99

Ohh that's a nice deal. I just stupidly spent my money on some shoes though.

Bah if anyone has a spare copy that they would like to give up I wouldn't mind it if possible. After crankbro obviously. :)

For anyone running xp x64, stay well away. You get a message saying "Unable to create auto-save file" and that's that, you can play but you'll have to start from the beginning every time and you won't be able to play online.
There's a big thread on their forums with lots of people having this problem and there has been no reply.

Anybody tried Dirt 2 with a steering wheel ? What's your thoughts ?

( I'm not expecting it to be up to Richard Burns Rally in the handling department, but if its better than Grid then it'll be worth it at £15 )

It works perfectly right out the box with a G25

Gutted this didn't come with my 5770! I can't bring myself to spend 15quid on it when I thought it was gonna be bundled with my new card :(

If you enjoyed GRID you will love this, great game and well worth that price, game play is fun and graphics are great even on my 4850.

Beware of "Games for Windows LIVE" if you live in one the over 166 unsupported countries. GFWL will block you from racing DIRT 2 online unless you know to lie about what country you live in when setting up a LIVE ID. :(

I hope we can change Codemasters mind about using GFWL and DIRT 2 will be Codemasters only racing game to use it. A lot of players that bought the Steam version of DIRT 2 found out the hard way that they paid $40-$70 for a racing game they can not race online with the rest of the world. :(

GFWL stole my game

Problem with cd-key and Windows Live

Attention. This game is a scam, as it works on Windows-Live

Will Codemasters give new CD-key to those players in unsupport countires that need...

Steam vs GFWL ( Games for Windows LIVE ) and unsupported countries.

Does GFWL help prevent piracy or help create piracy?

It seem GFWL is a step backwards for letting the Whole world race online like we do with GRID and Flatout 2! What new PC games will GFWL stop paying customers from playing online? F1? BioShock 2?

Unfortunately Steam does not warn you that you may not be able to play online when you buy a GFWL game if live in the wrong part of the world. Buyer beware!!
