Every now and then you have to salute a genius. Both the Daily Mail and the Metro report research analysing the positions of Britain's ancient sites, and the results are startling: primitive man had his own form of satnav.
More recently . . .
"Three stores around Birmingham formed an exact equilateral triangle (Wolverhampton, Lichfield and Birmingham stores) and if the base of the triangle is extended, it forms a 173.8 mile line linking the Conwy and Luton stores. Despite the 173.8 mile distance involved, the Conwy Woolworths store is only 40 feet off the exact line and the Luton site is within 30 feet. All four stores align with an accuracy of 0.05%." (Grauniad)
Well worth a read over toast, marmalade and tea on a wet and dull Saturday morning :D

"If" my Auntie had gonads she would be my Uncle.

Your auntie does have gonads, they're just not testicles. Also, your analogy is in err. The extension of the base of the triangle is another quite amazing coincidence, rather than a possibility hinged on the occurrence of an improbability. Or something.

Despite the 173.8 mile distance involved [which you've had to invent, because the actual figure is something entirely different], the Conwy Woolworths store is only 40 feet off the exact line and the Luton site is within 30 feet [which, in reality, they're not, because you're still working from your imaginary number. And even that number leaves two stores 30-40 feet off the line!].

All four stores align with an accuracy of 0.05% [no they don't; you had to make up a number to reach this percentage, remember?]." (Grauniad)

Fixed.

Might want to read the article :p

While I appreciate that you may have checked the distances I think you may have missed the point, it's to take issue with bad methodology and dubious conclusions that this 'research' has been jokingly carried out.

Oops yes, I guess the lulz are on me! :D :p

Nice find! Personally I believe they are secret government bunkers aligned perfectly for intricate laser communications via the big shiny woolworths signs.
