It has come to light that the Saphire Radeon 5770 Vapor X has a manufacturing BIOS fault. Due to a wrong BIOS being used the GPU only uses 720 unified shaders instead of the 800 advertised. This is not on ALL of the cards but a large batch. To check your card download GPU-Z from Techpower and check your shaders. There is a BIOS fix on the Saphire website but for some reason my card still only has 720 shaders available so is in RMA process.

720 shaders, and 9 SIMD's will result in a slower card and lower Futermark scores. Be aware.

Either the flash didn't work or you didn't do it properly. Did you do it in Dos on Usb(best way in my opinion), did you get an error message, if so you possibly have to force the bios flash, sometimes 'error mismatch ssid' or similar comes up.:)

I 2nd this ....... same way I flashed both mine, I have a crossfire setup and even went to the bother of flashing mine separately rather than both together (read somewhere it can be done).... once this was done and tested ok I flashed them both again with the Asus bios :D
