My fully watercooled pc - Build video

When using water cooling, dont people use PTFE Tape, iam a heating engine myself and i wouldnt dare make my loop without it. Couldnt trust the threads just screwing them in without it. makes it 100% water tight.
But execellent setup!
Stefan.

I see your point, but i used 7/16" tubing on 1/2" barbs which meant i had to heat the tubing loads to fit on the barb then when it cooled it m oulded onto the barb.

The barbs themselves have rubber o-rings that squeeze between the fitting and the component doing the job of the ptfe tape. Babrs that do not have these o-rings need ptfe.

Ahhh. thats good enough then. but i would still put about 4 turns of PTFE tape because if the fitting comes loose at a certain point it would leak, with PTFE tape it would still steal it at some point :)

You can **** Jeantech off all you want, but I've got a 600w puppy here that had the fan die in it and I could smell the thing sizzling in its own juices half way across the house. I quickly turned the thing off when I realised where the smell was coming from.

Anyway I went up town looking for a replacement PSU and couldn't find anything suitable, so being a tight ar*ed so and so I procured one of my Coolermaster 120mm case fans to replace the busted one in the PSU, I had to get some choc blocks out and do a little bodging but its still going strong 18 months later.

I will be getting a nice new Corsair 850w beauty soon though when I spec up an i7 rig in the £1200 price range in the next week or so, and I'll be getting it all from OCUK too if they do price matching.

its ok when it bursts into flames it will melt his water pipes anyway and self extinguish :D:p

I properly laughed out loud then! Im sorted!

Actually coming to think of it, the small fan on the back of the power supply makes a wierd noise. A bit like rushing water wierdly, definitely is the power supply fan though not real rushing water. I want to change it but doubt i will be able to get it out without removing the graphics cards etc. (o and i dont want to kill myself)
