Do you wash your newly bought clothes before the first wear?

Lots of clothes shoppers here going by the amount of spec me a shirt/pants/underwear threads in the recent past.

abc posts a segment about outlet stores where clothes fresh off the shelves were tested in a lab and found to contain anything from faecal matter to nasal bacteria - none of the contaminations found would pose serious threat of course but you could catch a bug or spread a disease this way they say.

The blouse with vaginal deposits was most o_0 indeed....

They'll only have faecal matter and nasal bacteria on them once I've had them on ten minutes anyway, so no.

Seriously though, not unless they smell funny. Like if I bought them from Camden market. They get washed if they smell funny. Shirts get washed or ironed because they're all creased up when you get them.

Is this more relevant to the yanks though. Akin to the nasties they're more likely to find on hotel bed sheets etc.

I rarely if ever wash anything straight from the shelf. However I guess if I bought from a charity shop I'd do different.

It's not just the shop though, are the factories that some of these clothes come from clean all the way in China/Mexico or wherever?!

Plus, when you see pics like this:

Makes you wonder how many trousers people like her have tried on in a store!

Nope, sometimes when i go stay with friends and decide to stay the extra day or two I often pop into Primark or Gap and get myself a £3 T-Shirt/socks/underwear to get through the day. Not going to wash those, don't have time.

Jeans are at there best when new ,nice and soft never the same again after first wash .Oh and no to op .

You never know who has tried it on though maybe some kid with acne on his back .

Is that related to this thread? Sure she didn't just kind of accrue them in another way if you catch my drift?

:/

Edit - also the shirt and trousers look different.

Yeah, I do. However, that's normally because I don't like the smell and the starch tends to irritate my skin.
