...and I still haven't managed to play it as of now. Every time I put the disc in, click the icon and it goes to update itself to the latest version (90MB patches) they get to 61% and 22% then the PSN kicks me off.

Anyone know why is this happening? There's no error code, it just stops downloading at those two percentages and says "You have been disconnected from the PSN" every time.

I've tried both my usual wireless and also dragged the PS3 up to the router and wired it in, and still it gets to the two exact same percentages and then kicks me.

Yeah, done that countless times. Also, there's no game data or saved games present as the game never gets past the updating.

I had this with another game. Its in the network settings I think. Are you using a wireless connection?

EDIT: Had a look turn off "Media Sever Connection".. worked on my issue at least.

Is your HDD full :o

Nowhere near, there's about 50GB free space.

PSN maintenance?

Don't think so, I could log straight back in and go play on-line without a problem. Plus, all other aspects work fine.

Just tried that, no difference. Gets to the same percentage and just kicks me off the PSN and stops downloading.

Oh well, guess I'll give it a few hours and take my rage out on some other unsuspecting baddies before trying again.

Not sure if this will make any difference but if you are still having problems you could try pressing circle when it asks you to install the patch (to cancel/ignore it); let the game load up to the main menu then quit back to the XMB and try loading then patching game again.

this might sound abit stupid, but are you updating the game, or the ps3?, just couldn't work out which you ment

Tried it over wired just to remove wireless out of the equation - though if its always the same percentage its unlikely to be that - still worth trying though it youre game.

Id also stick a post on the EU forums or something to see if you can get some official assitance...

ps3ud0

It seems to have worked. Instead of sitting there watching it, watched pot never boils and all that, I decided to just go into the other room and 'forget' about it.

So, after about 15mins I go back in and would you believe it, it's only gone and updated and the game is running. :D
