Lets make a religion (scientology rant :P)...

Is it me or does that make no sense? But maybe its like religion, it doesn't have to make any sense, believe.....BELIEVE!!!!

Its not meant to make sense to be honest, it just a story as utterly ridiculous as scientology which people devote their entire lives to lol. Quite worrying really

I was just thinking of how utterly poor some of the ideas are when it comes to religion so I thought I'd "spec" my own for amusement :P

Okay so if we have a God, mine will be the planet earth. Reason being you could argue that its our oldest parent and everyone on the planet is part of it. Because earth is now the religions god, we also have a link to climate change, greenpeace etc in a quite weird way...

Bacteria are tiny but infect humans, multiply and can even kill the person they infect. Using this premise, humans are technically damaging our god (lol) and must be stopped! We now have a religion, god and motives to cleanse the none believers "wooo".

To make it more believable, I might make up an even more rubbish story about why the other planets failed in a giant fight and earth won, allowing it to support life haha.

If you think i need to be on medication and maybe even a nice white self hugging jacket, have a long look at scientology and my 5 mins of weirdness seem quite normal!

How much is this gonna cost us? :(:D

It doesn't seem all that odd to me, if I'm not misinterpreting Mr vonhelmet he is responding to the suggestion that for any question where the answer is unknown then religious believers will immediately ascribe it to god (hence God of the gaps) by stating this is not the case for many.

James J: I'm not convinced by your religion I'm afraid but that's no great surprise, it just joins a rather lengthy list. :)

Im not being serious with it, its all just abit of tongue in cheek fun

I think the only type of religion that actually made sense was sun worship. I mean if you think about it, it is the ultimate giver of life - it grants us light, it grants us warmth, it indirectly gave us the plants and animals of our world. Sure it might not be intelligent, but without it we would not be here. The sun is a benevolent entity in that it gives (energy) but never takes, it creates life but never judges it. If there were perfection, it would be our solar creator. ;)

We cannot blame the sun for our own inadequacies, it merely gave us the ability to survive - the sun cannot control its indirect creations, it only unconditionally allows their existence. Take, for example, bacteria. They may be tiny, but do not suffer skin cancer due to their obvious lack of skin.

You can join my religion? We know the secret to the universe however to be enlightened we also need to lighten your wallet with a £100 donation for each of the 100 levels of Life you wish to know.
