Several posters have managed to combine to reinvent the basis of a long-dead religion (or religions) - Earth and Sun as a duotheistic religion. People noticed long ago that people and other animals had two parents who created a child together, so it made sense (in a way) that there were two gods who were parents who created life. Sun-father and Earth-mother.
It makes more sense than most religions.
It's the basis for one possible explanation of the purpose of Stonehenge, explaining why it's aligned with the sun at dawn on a solstice - this represents the sexual union of the two gods to create all life.
