**Australian Open 2010 - Jan 18th - 31st**

Wow, a British female player (Elena Baltacha) has made it into the 3rd round

EDIT - Is Keothavong not playing?

Del Potro out on 5 sets it seems!!!!!

Blake is a good player but even so:o

Well done to Andy winnig in straight sets - although he had a couple of dodgy games in there he did what he needed to

That the rest of his game was up to par is good but regardless of how the other seeds are playing currently he cannot and should not be looking to them to play badly - he should be looking to play well as I'm sure he is.

I didnt suggest that AM should think like that.

I was saying that being the first major tournement of the season, everyone takes a bit of time to get their game together (as Del Potro's loss shows, and Fed not playing to his abilities in some matches).

ok that teaches me for reading the txt score wrong I saw 7 - 6 in the 5th and thought DP was out, but point above still stands.

Some really good matches on right now. At least if Del Potro wins, it will tire him a little if he meets Murray.

As as I am typing, Henin match has gone to tie break with Henin two sets up

I can't believe Eurosports showing this so much. I was very disappointed that the Biathlon had been bumped for two Andy Murray lookalikes to play a really dull game of tennis - especially being the middle of Wintersports season and a run up to the Winter Olympics!

Medical timeout for what can only be described as a life threatening injury. Hope he's ok :o

Murray currently winning 7-5, 6-1, 3-0 and on course for round 4.

Edit: Murray won his match and will face Isner in the next round.

You two don't see eye to eye then judging by your usernames :D

I've lost count of how many aces Isner's served already.

Currently 4-3* in the 1st.

Murray takes it 7-6 (7-4). Isner's actually pretty dreadful, relies massively on his huge serve but when it comes to actually playing tennis he's pretty average.

It does look that way to an extent watching to this game but then again this is probably the first time most of us are seeing him play. He could quite easily have won that set having had a breakpoint on Murray's serve. He's also got an extremely good tie-break record which tells us that he's hard to break and occasionally pulls off some very big shots. Remember that he's also playing arguably the best returner of serve here and Murray's playing a clever game. Having said all that though, i don't think Isner's game is classy, i can't see him winning any slams and i don't like seeing players wearing baseball caps like a 12 year old, the most stupid looking being Gasquet and Hewitt :p

And yet again, Eurosport screw up the commentary sync, being a moment ahead of play. Happened in last year's AO. Very annoying!!

Murray wins 7-6 6-3 6-2. So Nadal next?

Anyone see start of interview with Jim Courier? Wasn't paying attention but got the feeling Jim was trying to be funny and Murray seemed really snappy - might have misunderstood.

EDIT - Murray was asked what recent film has he seen that he enjoyed and all he could think up was Bruno, lol
