Ta.I signed up to BF2 years and years back with the name TMMTAKEN.. oh boy did I regret that, especially as you couldn't change it!!!!

No, don't be silly, You cant be trusted to choose your own name, DICE will issue you with one on twitter. This will then be hard locked to your account for ever.

Could someone please sum up what's wrong with this game at the moment? Struggling to follow everything.
Well I think thats part of the problem, No one really knows anything due to DICE officially departing their own forums and simply skirting around questions with almost politician skill.
I'll give it a go though;
1. No released PC game videos, why is that ?
2. No released PC game Screen shots, why is that ?
3. seemingly locked FOV, locked appears to be confirmed but locked at what is a grey area, even a DICE dev has twittered that he doesn't know the PC FOV, why is that ?
4. The confusion regarding support for eyefinity and how it handles FOV
5. Dice officially departing their own forum and now using twitter and blogs to release info, all questions are moderated so anything awkward can be easily removed
6.The total lack of information regarding BETA access from participating retailers.
7. The biggest one for me, the deafening silence that points to one thing for me, they are fearful of letting to much of the cat out the bag before payment is secure.
8. PB streaming ability (I'm sure this can be worked around somehow, but it needs co-operation from DICE)

I personally think there's a lot of jumping to conclusions there, instead of just waiting for the product and seeing what happens. However thanks a bunch for compiling that 
when the Dev team refuse to answer anything what else is there to do.
Dont get me wrong I'm not a "h8r" on this, I want it to be excellent, but I cant help but think if they were really proud of it they would be shouting it from the rooftops, look for example how the run up to the PS3 beta was conducted.

LOAM they seem to be pushing it too far "the other way", not hinting at anything at all just cus they know we want/crave info. Builds up its on hype for the pre order only beta.
The more pre order, the more will buy it.

There's a reason people jump to conclusions. For the past few years signs have been bad for many games but people (and developers) kept saying "just wait until it's finished". Each and every time the game has been a complete disappointment. Ok, DICE has not been involved with most of those games in the past few years but they do have a say in BF1943 and that game has simply failed. Failed so bad there's still no release or even release date.

I will wait for BF3 even if its released in 2011 I need my jets this game doesnt have them.
Jets, pfft, like snipers in tf2 they rarely ever took part in taking the objective instead choosing to have their own little seperate battles.
that's how it is in mw2 iirc.
this is what is worrying me about the game there not answering the big questions and dangling the pre order beta in peoples faces so people bite and buy without there question answered. quite smart for getting money in but not good for gamers.

Not so worried about fixed horizontal FOV (if that's what they actually mean by fixed FOV). Afterall, BF2 had a fixed horizontal FOV which was only recently fixed by the 1.5 patch (or earlier on by the widescreen fixer). Personally I feel it's one of those things that bugs you only if you dwell on it too much; sure I will protest about, but it's not the end of the world.

thats incorrect,not if you play properly and communicate with your team on ventrillo/ts...play with me on your team while im in a jet on ventrillo and ill guarantee 99.9% ill take those armoured ground targets out for ya with ease,making your job so much easier
Edit:i think the fov problem will be fixed,patched or modded so i would not worry to much about that

Why not simply stop speculating on everything and just wait for the beta. If you don't like the beta then cancel your preorder. If you like the game then don't cancel it. They may not be answering questions but its only a week until the beta anyway.
60 fov or 1000 fov im still buying and going ahead with my order,i will not be canceling.
