Ok I'm going to attend this one. Photography meet anyone? March 7th?

TO be honest, if you're travelling from far, you probably won't have much choice in what railway station in london you end up at (Euston/Victoria/Liverpool St./Waterloo...) so you'll just have to get the tube from the station to the meeting place.

Dont know what you southerners call not much choice :p thats still 3 more stations than I need as a destination!
 
Sorry. What I mean is trains South of London tend to go to Waterloo, from the West to Victoria, from the North to Euston, and so on...(I think) So, from York, I'm not sure what station the train will take you to.

Edit: you'll end up at King's Cross from York - direct train taking just over 2h.

For anyone else, go to National Rail Enquiries's website, and put the destination as "London-All Stations" and it should pick the corect one.

coolio, I did check national rail but it said I can go to a few London stations direct :mad: Will look at Kings Cross. Just need Phate to pull his finger out and firm things up :p
 
Hey fellas,

So any ideas on where we shall be going in London to shoot stuff? Maybe we can have some fun whilst we wait for march by suggesting ideas :)

My idea would be to walk down the Thames, Maybe say from Tower Bridge Right up to Westiminister.... This would give us loads to shoot, from the tower of london, waterloo, Houses of parliment etc....

Theres also a lot off the thames, i.e Covent Garden, STrand, Trafalgar sq etc.

Was going to brave it and come meet you all, maybe learn something. But it clashes with a University ball my other half would kill me if I wasn't there!

I don't think there will be anything set, I assume it'll just be street portraits, landscapes etc. Meet at an area, move about. Phate can organize it :p

Seeing as no one has suggested a place, meeting somewhere on the South Bank not too far from Waterloo works for me and others coming that way. There are a couple of pubs we could wait at should we decide to meet indoors, or if people want to wait/shoot at the same time, no doubt there'll be lots of opportunities e.g. Tate Modern, bridges, skyline with St. Paul's, passer-bys, skaters under the bridge, London Eye, Millenium Bridge, boats, tourists, other photographers, etc.

That sounds good to me. I'll be coming into London Bridge, so South Bank suits me :)

I'm quite looking forward to meeting everyone.
