for £31 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-160-CM

This case is pretty good in my opinion, altho cable management is pretty hard, although with a lack of a front fan my Cpu idle temps are at 27C which isnt too bad but load is 53C.
System never goes above 33C

my setup
Atrix 80+ 720w Powersupply
Asus P7P55D LE motherboard
Intel Core i5 750
Ati Radeon 5850 (as u can see fits in case)
4gig Corsair xms3 ddr3 ram
Western Digital 1tb harddrive
LG Bluray/dvdrw combo
Sweex multicard reader

I have in the post, an apache 120mm fan, for the front fan

Looks like a great value for money case. Can't help but notice your psu, the brand doesn't ring a bell. Would be horrible if it failed and took your system out with it!

david is right, never skimp on the psu if its get faulty it might take out your whole system.

i tested a 4870 on a no name 650w psu. when i turned up the settings and played for an hour it took out the board and the gpu

nice rig btw but maybe you should have gone for a modular psu.

Hmm ive never really thought about it like that,
if i am honest though it doesnt seem cheap/tacky, the box it was in seems "smart" it also has SLI READY badge on front including (80+) although i dont really know what it means by 80+.

ive been on a few games so far and it seems stable enough, even with slight o/cing of cpu.

When i get bit more money, you could be right an investment in a new powersupply could be good.. and yeah a modular design would help with the cable wiring.

If i get a fan for the side which has plastic funnel shall i take it off, or attach the fan behind it so it can blow air directly onto the cpu.

The funnel makes it easier for the cpu fan to suck cold air in from outside the case. By adding a fan you would be pushing cold air to the cpu area which should lower temps, just make sure you have the fan as intake though. On the other hand if you're happy with temps don't bother.

The thing about psu's is that any psu, cheap or expensive can go at any time. The difference is that cheap ones like yours (no offense) can and probably will take other components with them. I'd suggest you get a psu from a reputable company like corsair. Some of their psu's are backed by a 7 year warranty so it shows how much faith they have in their products.

Where did you get that psu mate, and how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

the 80+ is somethnig to do with efficency. like they have to be at least 80% efficent. some psu beat it by a long way like one of the antecs is 87% cant remeber which one. some scrape it

I think i shall do that with the funnel then should help with the cooling signifcantly, i would be breaking the rules if i said where from as they are most likley a competitor but it cost me £42 If you do a search on google im sure you will see them. Atrix 720w power supply.

heres the box

£42 for a 720w psu is very cheap mate. You'd have to spend at least double that for a decent one probably, 720w one that is.

I had the coolermaster 330 elite case, a good way to solve the cool air problem is to suspend a 120mm fan behind the 3 spare 5.25" bezels.

I used elastic cord, it works really well and this easy little mod helped to reduce temps by a couple of degrees
