I use Ubuntu for just browsing the web, hassle free from a security point of view and suits my laptop just fine.
However for gaming, or in this case Blu-Ray you need Windows!
There is always space for a dual boot.
Not really, you can still use gaming in ubuntu (one off small fee) and still can use blu-ray too!
My exact reason for not getting it either. I will get blu ray eventually but maybe when a certain 3D movie set on some planet called Pandora is released. That'll be my reason for going blu ray. Until then I'll happily wait for prices to drop further. And they will.
