4pm Deal 21/01/10 - OcUK BRUSHED ALUMINIUM BLU-RAY ROM SLOT LOADING DRIVE £43.99

Want it in Silver to match my alu coolermaster, think Silver drives are going the way of the dodo.

I use Ubuntu for just browsing the web, hassle free from a security point of view and suits my laptop just fine.

However for gaming, or in this case Blu-Ray you need Windows! :D

There is always space for a dual boot.

Not really, you can still use gaming in ubuntu (one off small fee) and still can use blu-ray too!

Awesome deal, shame it's not got DVD burning capabilities otherwise I'd snap one up.

My exact reason for not getting it either. I will get blu ray eventually but maybe when a certain 3D movie set on some planet called Pandora is released. That'll be my reason for going blu ray. Until then I'll happily wait for prices to drop further. And they will. :D

Shipping is £8.25 at the cheapest, its just as cost effective to purchase it now with free shipping unless your putting a large order together. :/

2nd class Royal mail delivery is £4.16 excluding VAT and DPD option is £7.25 excluding VAT.

So at the current promo price you save £4.11.

I'm just uploading some snaps I have quickly taken of the OcUK drive fitting inside my Corsair 800D "brushed Aluminium" case to see how it compares to a normal plastic bezelled drive.

Can you please modify the way you advertise disc packs? I immediately looked at that and thought how is £14.99 / 4 = £1.50?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Abolish the "Single Jewel" and "xx Spindles". Use the word "Disc(s)"

Agreed. We'll change to "Disc Qty" tomorrow.

Who orders goodies from this website and is happy to wait on 2nd post service for the £4 saving?

Not every forum member is eligible for free shipping anyway. There are people with not enough posts and those in none mainland UK - including parts of Scotland.
