5speed box does not make a "huge difference" unless it's one I've never heard of. It's probably the Jack Knight box with a ratio between 2nd and 3rd, and 4th is not very different!

Regardless, I'd love that :)

Nailed it. That's pretty much how I feel. I'm not a big fan of the beemer Minis (more for the fact that I don't see the point in a Mini that's.. not Mini), and you're right... it looks like a counterfeit, like some Chinese manufacturer is trying to copy it while changing enough bits to stay out of trouble.

Terrible.
 
I was gonna say the front looks quite nice until I saw the other pics. The one in the OP is a bit of a myspace angle tbh.
Rest of it does look properly rubbish though. Especially those wheels. Black wheels don't work on much, especially not when they're that small.
 
Even as a New Mini fanboi I don't like it from the photos.. i'll reserve judgement untill I see it in the metal though.
 
First they bring out the 'new' mini which is pretty crap, horribly girly and totally misses the point of the mini's heritage. Then they bring out a clubman which is a total nightmare of a car and an insult to the Clubman name which they've misapropriated. finally they follow it with this bag of ugliness, surely a contender for ugliest car of the decade and we are only 22 days in! What next a mini+ for people who just can't get there head round the fact it's a small car or maybe a mini fusion 'the tall mini for people with big hair'!
