The CRT may not be true 120MHz. It may use Black Frame Insertion which outputs two seperate frames at 60Mhz (120MHz effective) between the black frames.
With the cost of 1920x1200 TFTs so cheap now, why opt for anything else.
Is it actually 120hz at 1680*1050 or on a lower res?

LOL, been out the loop a while, didn't even know there were 120hz Monitors available, thats pretty cool.
Remember gaming on my old CRT's at 100hz+ and it was awesome, one of the major problems coming for the older CRT's was that everything felt worse due to 60hz cap.
If they can get a 28" 1920*1200 out with 120hz I'm sold.![]()
Just tested the Alienware 120Hz screen in our Customer Briefing centre.
Have to admit I'm really impressed so much so, I'm going to preorder the acer version![]()
