goggle me a birthday

so, its my 30th soon :eek:

and i need birthday event/activity ideas, so I came to the bastion of tomfoolery that is OcUK for help

there are a few conditions though:

1) i can't drink, and a lot of my friends don't/can't either (sounds like an AA meeting, lol)
2) most of us are 'alternative' types, and the usual bars full of chavs etc dont appeal. we are all in the mid twenties to early thirties range.
3) I want it to be fun for as many people as possible (i hate having to pretend i like something just cos its someones birthday!)

im kind of stumped because almost everything in dublin revolves around horrifically overpriced booze :rolleyes:

interesting, wacky, silly, dangerous or downright insane ideas gogogo!

My mate got us to fly out to Estonia (for VERY cheap) and shoot a load of guns.

There's virtually no regulation over there.

It was awesome and something you'll never forget. Especially machine guns, powerful handguns and .50 cal sniper rifles that could 'take out a car engine block at 2.5 miles'!!!!

Can someone clear something up for me, people are always making these threads like "spectacle me...", "eyeglass me...", "goggle me..." as a parody of "spec me..." but it was my understanding that spec was kind of short for "specify" rather than "spectacle" as it makes actual sense.

airsoft: thats one a lot of us already do, so a definite possibility
paintball, driving etc: i would be hard pressed to get a lot of em to do this (either due to paintball related pain or a lack of driving licence). i'd love it tho

gorge walking: i'd enjoy it, but a lot of my mates wouldnt

keep it up- the ideas dont have to be sensible!

it IS fun. however, there is the small issue of me being a big fat bugger, and losing the steering wheel in one's bellybutton is always embarrassing.

that, and we did it fairly recently for a stag do.
