I've used my TV as a monitor before now, but as above I now favour the opposite way of doing things. I use my PC and monitor as a PC/TV/PVR.

Yup i use my hdtv purely for my pc with a sofa in my spare bedroom, well my pc room lol. Keyboard on my lap and mouse on the sofa. And in the front room i have an old crt television lmao!!

this was something i was thinking of doing - due to limited space in my room etc, currently only have a 20" dell monitor which i use for pc. x360 and playing dvds etc.

was thinking of getting a 37" LCD tv and use it as a monitor, TV, and use for 360 and when i get one a ps3 + blu ray etc.


Only thing i thought is im not sure how a PC screen would look on a large lcd tv (or if my pc would beable to do the res as i think 1080p res is higher that what i current use on this monitor

HTPC in the living room connecte up to the telly. Mouse and keyboard in a leather holster type-thing on the sofa's arm. Never play games in the living room on that particular PC (xbox for that), so the mouse works ok(ish) on the sofa's surface itself.
