Indeed.
I live with my gf, we both eat alone and have separate bedrooms. We sleep together when we feel like it.
Feels good, man. Rest of the time we do what the hell we want. It's the only way.
That is interesting! How did the whole separate bedrooms come about? Did you both realise you like time alone? I personally would feel strange sleeping in another bed with out the gf, I did it once when I was snoring loudly (so she told me)
I like time alone.. gf says sometimes too much. But I do love it I am very happy with my own company.

Well, we moved in together as friends, laid the boundaries.... but after a while we started going out. And by then we knew what was important to us and what we liked. We are very close but we are very protective of our space.
Let's be honest, we love our other half... but we sleep better on our own! Fact of life! And it doesn't mean we think less of the other for it. In fact, it makes the time spent together even better.
I can easily " go to Ground" and not see anyone or talk to anyone for easily a week.
Stay in and potter about in my studio. Play the guitar ,record, watch films, read,
Work gets in the way of all this and one has to engage with the Human Race.![]()
I do like my alone time, allows me to relax and unwind when I've had fun dealing with the great British public at work.

No bar staff, so I get our delightful public when they're drunk. I love my job, honest.
