Do you like to be alone?

Indeed.

I live with my gf, we both eat alone and have separate bedrooms. We sleep together when we feel like it.

Feels good, man. Rest of the time we do what the hell we want. It's the only way.

Yes and no.

I hate being alone after coming home from work/uni/pub/other place with people besides my parents and find myself calling people asking if they want to do something.
Usually once I've sat for a while at my pc I become an non social idiot who can sit alone for days and doesn't miss contact.

That is interesting! How did the whole separate bedrooms come about? Did you both realise you like time alone? I personally would feel strange sleeping in another bed with out the gf, I did it once when I was snoring loudly (so she told me :p)

I like time alone.. gf says sometimes too much. But I do love it I am very happy with my own company.

Well, we moved in together as friends, laid the boundaries.... but after a while we started going out. And by then we knew what was important to us and what we liked. We are very close but we are very protective of our space.

Let's be honest, we love our other half... but we sleep better on our own! Fact of life! And it doesn't mean we think less of the other for it. In fact, it makes the time spent together even better.

That sounds ****ing miserable:(, me and my girlfriend are inseparable/super clingy and wouldn't want it any other way:).

Yes it's nice to get time alone sometimes. My girlfriend is out tonight and I told her I looked forward to being alone coincidentally

I think its sounds pretty damn good tbh.

Companionship, sex, freindship and solitude all under the same roof.

Being along without feeling guilty that your GF is upset or lonely.

Great setup Lysander sounds top.

It is different but by no means wrong, that is the thing with relationships - they are all different and work differently. If you are both happy which it sounds like you are then no one has any place to judge.

A thing I'd like about the separate beds would be the lack of her hogging the bed sheets!

Love it. Moving into my own flat coming to uni was nothing short of genius. Though I'm a little older so don't quite feel the need to get paralyticaly drunk every night with rowdy housemates nor have people around constantly. Been there, done that. Nothings beats being able to do pretty much what you want when I want. Also makes getting down to work much much easier. Missus lives in London so we work during the week and see each other on photoshoots/weekends. Finding in the perfect balance of alone/together time to be honest!

Not particularly, however I've found life is a lot simpler and easier to organise if the only person I have to think about is myself.

I talk to myself allot. I don't think it's healthy.

I can easily " go to Ground" and not see anyone or talk to anyone for easily a week.

Stay in and potter about in my studio. Play the guitar ,record, watch films, read,

Work gets in the way of all this and one has to engage with the Human Race. :(

Could very easily do the same
