From £24.99.....

So I just got my monthly newsletter from GAME and it has the above listing under all of the games.

Now I know this is for the PC and the console versions will be £10+ more, but it really does irritate me how they use this form of marketing under a picture of a PS3/360 box.

It's the same on their website as well, how many other people does this irritate, or is it just me?

Yeah, when the internet went crazy about the MW2 supermarket prices there were a load of retailers causing confusion by putting these type of banners on the site to grab traffic. GAME being a prime example..

I'd imagine a last effort trying to get back all the lost PC sales since they screwed the servers.

Edit: Didn't realise about the packaging, that is quite lame.

You need to use another games supplier as they are consistently the dearest now & @ xmas lost a lot of sales to other much cheaper suppliers.

Its only a matter of time before they start contracting & closing retail shops as once you realise what a markup they have & still do make on games which are much cheaper elsewhere your not likely to give them anymore business are you!

They used to be the cheapest but over the years they have gone greedy with their prices.
 
It's also bad when you walk past the shop, and they have a sign "MW2 - £8.99" in massive letters, then a tiny weeny isty bitsy little bit of text somewhere right at the bottom saying "When you trade in your sould to the devil" or something similar :)

lol its normally "when you trade in those 2 games that only came out last week, are awesome, and you dont really wanna trade in cos you havent completed"
 
I always assume that the lowest price is for the PC version, so it doesn't really bother me. GAME are virtually never the cheapest option anyway, so I don't pay much attention to their 'offers'.

Its advertising, but it's stupid because it's annoying. I'm not going to 'respect' it with the effect it has.
